The Groucho Club and The Club at the Ivy
Readers and authors meet each other in a cosy setting – books and drinks provided to ensure that each hand is full before settling in for an ‘in conversation’ followed by a group chat to lift the curtain on how each featured author went about writing their book.
We love new and established voices – history, crime, romance, classics and much more – now in our 5th year lots of authors have bookclubb’d with us. If you are an agent, publicist or author and would like a book to be considered, can make 15 copies available a month in advance which you are happy to be promoted across the respective club’s membership lists, do email hello@pinkauldandbrown.co.uk.
We started off online at the Groucho in the bad old days of the Pandemic with the lovely Madlen Davies in our interviewing chair. We had brilliant authors – Bolu Babalola; Alex Walters; Ashton Applewhite; Alexandra Shulman; Emma J Bell; Georgina Lawton; Laaleen Sukhera – and then moved to in-person events once we were allowed out and about again.
